After a high-level sporting career, which made him travel around the world, Patrick Christ chose Saint Paul de Vence to pass on his boxing experience to young people. During his years of teaching in this renowned village of artists bathed in light, he had the opportunity to meet Chagall, Verdet, Baldwin, Mancini, Tobiasse, César, Arman, Montand, Ventura, Gavras, as well as many others whom he crossed in bends of an alley or on the ramparts, which protect this beautiful medieval village. A very strong friendship arose from meeting with Victor Hasch, who had likewize been seduced by the magic of this place, which has been the preference of great artists in search of light and colors.... It was thus completely natural for Patrick to hang up his gloves in favour of paint brushes.

The work of Colette Hayoz is like a gestation. She pays attention to the volumes of her pieces to obtain a supple and linear style. Going through different trends, she now concentrates on the theme of female bodies, that she likes to be sensual, playful and sometimes humorous. Her pure, perfectly polished sculptures, supple idols with opulent and stylized shapes, contain the enigma of sex and life. In marble and bronze she finds the noble materials expressing softness and delicacy.

His creativity is constant, nourished by energy and love. Born in 1956, Jean-Marie FONDACARO raised in a family of artisans and artists. His formation with companion wood-sculptors assured him the mastery of his profession, that he renews by escaping from the imprisonment of technical restrictions. In 1996 he obtained the award “Arman of creation” at the international Art-Fair in Nice. Personally, the meeting with “l’Envol” determined my wish to share the artists road through my gallery

Knowing of him through his frequent restoration work, seminars, educational projects and illustrations of art and science books, I particularly loved his paintings in the Saint Charles and Saint Claude Chapel in Saint Paul de Vence.... Working 6 months during 2012, he succeeded in producing colourful vibrations and the desire to meditate in this magical spot where I was able to encounter him as he exercised his talent, a universal language that speaks only of beauty and remembrance!
From soft pastels to light, from the poetic to the fantastic, the human to the divine, this is the path taken by Yoël Benharrouche, a renowned artist with a striking career. Born to deeply religious parents in Beersheva in 1961, he grew up in Aschdod where he was soon to become impassioned by the Scriptures and a familiar face at various study centers. He arrived in nice in 1974 and in 1985 completed his Fine Arts training, studying fundamental Jewish texts and teaching drawing. His firs canvases show great sensitivity, with and underlying taste for the Absolute and a search for new aesthetics which express his mystical conception of Man and the World. In 1993 he returned to Israel and set up home at the gateway to the desert and, against this grand background steeped in history and spirituality, gave free reign to his inspiration. Alongside his wife and five children he sculpts and paints a world where the material becomes spiritual, and the lyricism of colours and the delicacy of forms are a celebration of the Creator and his Creation. Today, Benharrouche exhibits his works throughout the world. His words form part of many private collections and critics hail him as a confirmed and talented artist.

Since 1984 the sculptures of Nicolas LAVARENNE are shown all around the world and make part of private and public collections of art-lovers, whose requirements have not been deceived.....Urban installations succeed to enable a very large public to appreciate his work. Nicolas Lavarenne takes a major place in my choice and I have the feeling I transmit my passion to many visitors of St. Paul de Vence, where his sculptures are represented permanently.
Marc Massa opens to the public his foundry where the sculpting artists of the region and all the Europe regularly work... Marc is a talented artist who not only gives life to the works of the other creators, but knows how to innovate constantly in...
I learned that a few new pieces were born this winter under the fingers of Nicolas Lavarenne in the calm of his workshop... the secret is well kept but you will of course the scoop of their discovery at their final patina...

A breath of fresh air and mischievous happiness crosses the theater of his canvas while each painting takes us back to the land of childhood and comic strips .... Magic of the brush, facetious mind. Anton speaks the universal language of our love for life .... he invites you to join the ring and let your mind dance while observing a goldfish, play leapfrog or off-ground tag .... Be careful, you just leaped on a "trottinette" to meet up with the artist and you'll soon find yourself projecting the same gestures, familiar or unusual ! Back to reality : A highly talented and fully accomplished artist ! Welcome to Anton's wonderful ring of happiness !

A child's spirit, a great talent, those two words could resume the skill of this self-taught artist born in 1944. He paints his lifestyle, serene, sensitive, away from the hustle and bustle of high-life. Uneven and muffled texture in various shades of grey, blue, red, pink beat the tempo of an unambiguous stroke giving life to delightful characters who recently jumped out of their canvas to be set into bronze sculptures bearing their familiar gestures.
Always in two dimensions, of cabriole in pun, Anton keeps the lucidity of the child in the game, juggling with the illusions and the real one. Without naivety, without nostalgia. This innocent recreational paradise, he recreates it as he pleases,...
Jean-Claude ALLENBACH was born on 17. July 1947 in Colmar, Alsace. To our deepest regret he passed away before his sixtiest birthday. He became a painter in 1972 after discovering the beauty of Provence, where he stayed frequently. Landscape-painter and colourist, his palette is dominated by the brightness of the warm colours of mediterranean sceneries, filled with sunshine. He preferred oil paintings and lithographies, that were regularly shown in France, Japan and Switzerland. Many art-collectors are happy they choose his works and personally I own some master pieces.

Pauline's comment
His paintings are singular...the artist’s eye excels in the art of capturing the essential. Without going as far as abstraction, Allenbach initiates us to discover very synthesized landscapes and flowers, where nevertheless no element is missing. The blending of colours is marvellously organized and his touch so well controlled, that there is no place for doubt. We are immediately captured by his world of reassuring and fascinating serenity. I appreciated contemplating his works silently in his company, when he gave me the honour of a visit at Saint Paul... Frequent exhibitions have been organized in his presence (see events).

Comments by the artist SAK: "I love sculpture in bronze. I started out by sculpting a fantasy and somewhat baroque world, always in relation with the anatomy of the human body. The human being remains, still today, at the origins of all my creations. I want to understand the physical complexities and express them through a more abstract and subjective approach. To start, I create a sculpture in classic fashion and then through the transformation of this piece, by crushing it, stretching it, through the absence or addition of matter, a new sculpture is born: the deconstruction of the objects makes for its rebirth. The initial conception of the classic piece requires a certain rigour, attention and meticulousness that I wish to then liberate thanks to the body language and the spontaneity of movement. On top of that, I like to take into account the role of the random factor in the piece. In effect, all bronze sculptures need a wax copy and it's that wax that I transform and play with: the wax's reaction to the heat as well as the water is a direct participant in these new creations. Finally, with the patina, I begin to discover the notion of colour in bronze sculpture. The colour's freedom highlights and enriches the rigour and technical constraints of the initial creation. My sculptures need time and a slow maturing.” SAK

Juarez MACHADO, painter and sculptor. Born in 1941 in Brazil, lives in France. Beaux Arts school. Theater settings, television, illustrations and engraving. Juarez Machado's palette, like his décors, is rich and sumptuous, the composition is rigorous. A man of the theatre, he brings his painting to life like a stage, not without a touch of narcissism tinged with irony. Juarez Machado is an immense artist, like his personality: excessive, seductive, not scared of scandal but, most of all, profound! J.Quehen Shows frequently in Europe and U.S.A.. Sir Alfred Hitchcock ... a masterful creation by Jérôme Saam ... material sublimated by color in vibratory mode !!!
An inventor. Using materials hidden inside data-processing machines, electric and electronic articles, Tassou defines his work by the concept “cybertrash”. Works consisting of wall or three dimensional sculptures, totems. Unique pieces, that tell the memory of a technology damned to obsolescence right at the origin.
Real genuine goldsmith of electronic components, Tassou found an important place in my gallery, next to artists he appreciates and together with them sometimes he composes very unusual and original pieces, that he calles “revisitations”.
